EEE!!! I’m so excited that the read-a-thon is finally here! Are you ready? Do you have your snacks prepared? Your potential books picked out?
Your hosts for the next 12 Hours are Trish and Hannah. For the first 6 hours, I (Trish) will be typing up the hosts, and Hannah will be checking Twitter, checking in with readers, making sure I don’t screw up, and being generally awesome. She’s fantastic like that.
Make sure you check out the Welcome post! It will give you a lot of information that you’ll need.
Our first mini-challenge for you is the Hour 1 meme that Darcy wrote up a few read-a-thons ago.
Where are you reading from today?
3 facts about me …
How many books do you have in your TBR pile for the next 24 hours?
Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, or number of comments on blogs)?
If you’re a veteran read-a-thoner, Any advice for people doing this for the first time?
Come back and sign the Mr. Linky below and we’ll draw three winners randomly. The first winner will receive 3 books of their choice from the Prizes page as well as the pirate’s booty, the second winner will receive the 3 books by Korean-American author Linda Sue Park, Seesaw Girl, A Single Shard, and When My Name Was Keoko (all gently read) donated by Bybee, and the third winner will receive a “grab bag” of 3 (new) surprise 2010 ARCs from Aaron’s Books.
Have fun and let the reading begin!
