Hey guys! I’m Melissa from Must Read Faster, and I will be taking over as co-host for the next four hours! This is my first time attempting something of this magnitude so please have mercy on me! Aw, this is my final hour as cohost. I’m terribly upset, so I’ve decided to post this MST3K video to cheer myself– and, by extension, you guys– up.

I always advocate getting up and dancing around to loosen up the limbs after a few hours of reading. This next video will definitely get you into a groove– a futuristic one!

The band that made this video is called The Gregory Brothers, and they normally play a sort of alternative country/rock/soul…somethings. But they became internet famous first through their time-travelling band videos, and then through their Autotune the News series! If you haven’t seen any of their videos before definitely be sure to check them out– AFTER the readathon, of course.

I only had the one lolcat picture so from here on out it’s interesting Youtube videos. This one’s sure to either wake you up with its awesomeness or put you into a trance. So, y’know. Be careful?

Meanwhile, how are y’all doing with your reading? Still on top of things or have you been sucked into reading the #readathon tweets for half an hour?

India asked in the last post’s comments what I was reading– well, technically I’m not participating in the readathon beyond my cohosting duties (and a bit of unofficial cheerleading), but I started reading The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale earlier! Too busy refreshing email/blog/Twitter now to actually continue to read it, of course…

Hello, everyone! I’m your newest cohost, Anastasia of Birdbrain(ed) Book Blog! This is my first time cohosting anything and I’m very excited. When I was prepping for my posts I realized I needed at least two things: interesting Youtube videos and lolcat pictures. So here’s a lolcat picture:

My FINAL hour in cohosting and i would just like to say a MASSIVE thank you to Shesten and a whole host of other people that have helped me through since i started the co-host shift. It has been a very difficult 4 hours and i have to say i cannot wait to get my nose into one of my books.

At this present moment i am surrounded by children that aren’t mine and will not even after being told there would be time out LEAVE ME ALONE! I love kids but wow! Please i want time out just tell me where it is!

So you guys have reached the 8 hour mark which is a 1/3 of the way through the entire challenge. You have done sooo well so don’t stop here push through and read, read, READ!!!

It’s Hour 8 – come on people you know you can hold out much longer! Well done for getting this far and you are going to do amazingly chugging away til the end!
