Hour 24

THE LAST HOUR!!! If you’ve made it this far, congratulations!! Don’t give up now!

This hour, we’ll ask you all to fill this end of the event meme:

Hour 23

We’re almost there, folks! Keep reading! How many of you are still around? I see that some people are now up and reading again for the last couple of hours. You’re all doing amazingly well.

This hour we’d like to ask those who are raising money for charity during the read-a-thon to enter their names in the Mr. Linky below. Long Day lolcat

I do believe the lolcat says it all.

This hour, we’re challenging you to write a limerick about the read-a-thon! Come on, you know you want to. The silly mood that always seems to come upon us all in the last stretch is sure to help. Hour 21

Hour 20

Go read-a-thoners! We’re almost almost there! If you’ve made it this far, you can make it to the end. You know you do!

Hour 17

Hello everyone!  Nymeth here. I’ll be in charge of posting for the final 8 hours. How’s everyone doing? These final hours will be the hardest, but I advise you not to sleep. Look what willl come for you if you do:

Hour 16

This is your last post from Hannah; I’ll be handing the reins over to Nymeth to post updates for the remainder of the read-a-thon. (If you’re wondering, I didn’t do jumping jacks after the previous post. Instead, I did some high knee lifts and stretched my arms and neck. Then I headed back to write this post, with some apple slices. Now I’m waiting for the water to boil for a mug of decaf coffee.)

This hour we have a mini-challenge hosted by Erin Straza. Looks like her Reading Madness mini-challenge has options! The winner will receive a signed copy of Ann Kroeker’s soon-to-be-released book, Not So Fast. This mini-challenge will run for two hours, until the end of Hour 17.

Hour 15

How’s it going? I know I’m ready for a stretch break again. Once I post this, I’m going to stand up and walk around for a few minutes (Maybe even do a few jumping jacks, as I just saw suggested on Twitter). (Official read-a-thon tweets are coming from @readathon.)

I’m also much relieved to see that one of our biggest cheerleaders over on Twitter today has been released from suspension (from tweeting too much, I think)! Yay, @BethFishReads! You’ve done an outstanding job today.

This hour we’ve got Karin‘s Creativity Challenge. The winner will receive a pack of book-related bookmarks (some of which are handmade).
